PRESENTER
CRITERIA
The
Annual IMC EXPO presents a unique opportunity for researchers,
scientists, entrepreneurs and academics to present, discuss, and
collaborate on cutting-edge projects. The three-day event features
multiple presentations on a wide variety of topics related to
the evolving industry of new media technology.
The
IMC Expo Presenters Committee approves the final program and
all speakers. The following explains general information about
the program development and presentations.
POSSIBLE
PRESENTATION TOPICS
Each
presentation should be about a concept, product, artwork or
technology in any of the following areas:
*Immersive
Display Systems for Marketing, Gaming, and Architecture, or Education
*3D modeling and animation platforms as well as platforms for live
image processing and mixing of video
*Sensor networks, physical computing, interactive scripting, and
immersive gaming engines
*Social
software & collaborative content sharing
systems
*Programming social software frontends and GUIs
*Programming archiving software and database systems
*Wearable and/or wireless mobile computing technologies for the
fashion and retail industries
*Wearable computing technologies such as wireless transceivers,
imbedded sensors, and flexible cloth displays
*Programming cell phone software using languages such as WML, WMLS,
J2ME, XHTML, and others.
Typical
format and logistics:
- Speakers
will be chosen based on the relavance of their chosen topic to
the subjects outlined above as well as their project/technology's
creativity, commercial applications,
and/or novelty
- Presentations
will be documented and proposals placed in an online archive
- If
application is received and processed in time, presenters will
be featured in our catalogs and on our website
- Each
keynote session lasts 60 minutes (including any Q&A)
- Maximum audience size is 125
- LCD projector with screen, sound and internet connection provided
- Microphone
and PA system provided
